This has been very successful at Shawlands Primary school in Glasgow. I know Sciennes has / had a "walking train" or similar. This could be useful for Sciennes etc ?

Isn't there a so-caled bike bus between Blackford Avenue and Gillespie's Primary? I've seen it in the past heading up Whitehouse Loan, but haven't seen it recently. It certainly seemed to attract a lot of young cyclists.

Oh, wait. I've just found this link:

We've had one in our neighbourhood for at least the last three years, organised by Blackford Safe Routes. See, for example:

A lovely idea. I've recently learned about the Newington Safe Route developed a few years ago but never implemented - it was designed as a quiet route to Sciennes school: https://newingtonsaferoutes.wordpress.com/

I just read somewhere that Juniper Green Primary have now started a bike bus. The idea seems to be catching on, which is good.
