Normal topicHouse numbering in EH9 2EP section of Grange Loan

For anyone in houses currently 58 to 90 Grange Loan doing research on their house's history, it's worth noting - and might save you some trouble … that when the terraced houses 58-76 were built, around 1902/3, the numbers were changed to accommodate the new houses.

I know this because I discovered that our house, number 90, used to be number 58.

I've printed out the Post Office directory pages for several years, and the changes are shown there. In time, I'll put them up here for interest.

I know this is maybe of limited interest, but this is what I have found out about Grange Loan house numbering (note having an entry in the Post Office Directory wasn't compulsory, so there are gaps):

I've just had a conversation with a member across the street in EH9 2ER ... and there were complications over numbering there too - plus the collapse of the part of the terrace where the flats set back at the corner of Findhorn Place are now ... more to find out !
