There is an application at 13 Dick Place EH9 2JU for planning permission for the demolition of two side extensions and the construction of one side extension and a garden shed. The application includes a proposed 2m high timber fence along the front boundary with the semi-detached neighbour.

Details of all planning applications in the Grange are available from our pages here.

The closing date for comments to the Council is 21 December 2018.

A revised elevation drawing was added on 14 December 2018. This included a reduction in the height of the proposed garden fence from 2m to 1m. Two other drawings which still show the height as 2m have not been revised, which we assume to be an oversight. We have submitted this comment.

A further revised elevation drawing (09b) was added on 19 December, revising the height of the proposed garden fence once again, this time increasing it to 1.2m. The two other drawings (07 and 11) have still not been amended to be consistent with the reduction from 2m.

Another modification has been made to the proposals, this time showing steel railings 1.2m high from the house to the boundary on Dick Place, rather than the wooden fence originally proposed. The drawings are available here. Drawing 09c shows the latest version with the railings.

The revised proposals were approved on 23 January 2019. These incorporate the black steel railings 1.2m high, rather than the solid 2m timber fence originally proposed.
